In the international arena, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq are instructive. WebCurrently, women represent an average of 10.6% in local municipal organizations and 12.5% in sheriff’s organizations, and they range from 1% to 14% in state law enforcement agencies and from 8.6% to 28% in federal agencies. In 1975, women represented only 2.2% of personnel in municipal organizations (Martin and Jurik 1996).
