WebBecause of the interest of the Lower Hutt Mayor and Council, the Community Advisor was asked to set up a Citizens Advice Bureau in 1973. Thirty-five workers were trained and the bureau opened on August 6th that year in an old house at 34 Knights Road provided by the City Council. A further 35 workers began training in September.
